David Muir is an American journalist and anchor who is best known for his ABC news show World News Tonight with David Muir as well as for his role in the ABC News magazine 20/20 for where he acts as an anchor co-anchor. With animated animations and the dramatic clips of celebrities' gossip the show has grown into the top-rated news program in America. Made In America is his Emmy award-winning program. Prior to his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight he was the main substitute anchor for the anchor who was his predecessor Diane Sawyer. He has reported numerous primetime specials for ABC News some recent ones being Breaking Point: Heroin in America and Flashpoint The Refugee Crisis in America. He's traveled all over the world, reporting on news from Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti & the Gulf of Mexico. He has been awarded many Emmy Awards, Edward R. Murrow Award and numerous honors from Associated Press.
