David Muir (born August 25 1949) is an American anchor, journalist and anchor and reporter. He is most well-known for his show World News Tonight. The most popular newscast of America is his show that features a dramatic mix of videos and animations. Made In America was nominated for an Emmy. In the years before his appointment as anchor of ABC World News Tonight Sawyer was his main successor. In the past, he has covered many ABC News primetime specials including Breaking Point Heroin in America. He's traveled all over the globe to report on news from Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti and the Gulf of Mexico. He has received multiple Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards, as well as distinctions from The Associated Press.
